The Options in sysinstall will need to be set in order to access the ftp server. The modified options in sysinstall are not saved and affect only the current session.
Set the FTP username to the one previously created. In this example the username lan is used.
A dialog box will display allowing you to enter the appropriate password for the lan.
Set the Release Name to the same as was created in lan. In this case, it is set to 4.6-RC2.
Press Q to return to the Main Menu. Select Configure and press Enter.
Select Packages
Choose Installation Media Menu will display.
Select Install from an FTP Server. and the FTP Distribution Site menu will display.
Next, choose Specify some other ftp site by URL from the menu.
A dialog box will display to allow specifying of your FTP server. If using a mounted CDROM, omit the distribution from the path since sysinstall will append the release name specified in the Options Menu.
A dialog box will display to allow configuration of an internet connection if needed:
User Confirmation Requested
Running multi-user, assume that the network is already configured?
[ Yes ] No
The client is already connected to the local area network in this case so [ Yes ] was selected and Enter pressed to continue.
If the connection is successful, the Packages Menu will display.
